The Agent Training Program

In another training session, Morpheus teaches Neo more about the reality of the Matrix…

Morpheus: The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you’re inside, you look around. What do you see? Businesspeople, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system, and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it. Were you listening to me, Neo, or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?

Neo: I was…

Morpheus: Look again. Freeze it.

Neo: This…this isn’t the Matrix?

Morpheus: No. It’s another training program designed to teach you one thing. If you are not one of us, you are one of them.

Neo: What are they?

Morpheus: Sentient programs. They can move in and out of any software still hard-wired to their system. That means that anyone we haven’t unplugged is potentially an agent. Inside the Matrix, they are everyone and they are no one. We are survived by hiding from them by running from them. But they are the gatekeepers. They are guarding all the doors. They are holding all the keys, which means that sooner or later, someone is going to have to fight them.

Neo: Someone?

Morpheus: I won’t lie to you, Neo. Every single man or woman who has stood their ground, everyone who has fought an agent has died. But where they have failed, you will succeed.

Neo: Why?

Morpheus: I’ve seen an agent punch through a concrete wall. Men have emptied entire clips at them and hit nothing but air. Yet their strength and their speed are still based in a world that is built on rules. Because of that, they will never be as strong or as fast as you can be.

Neo: What are you trying to tell me, that I can dodge bullets?

Morpheus: No, Neo. I’m trying to tell you that when you’re ready, you won’t have to.

Conclusion

In conclusion, according to the movieThe Matrix, what is the Red Pill

The Red Pill is the key that opens the door, allowing one-way entry into the journey to find out what the Matrix is. In other words, it’s an awakening to something that you were unaware of: the Matrix.

Google defines it as the following:

In The Matrix, the red pill is a symbol of truth and awakening; taking it allows a person to see the harsh reality of their world and escape the simulated reality of the Matrix…the red pill is a computer virus designed to disrupt a person’s connection to the Matrix, awaken their mind, and allow them to be freed into the real world.

What is the Blue Pill? The Blue Pill is:

A “pill” that, once taken, will return you to your blissful ignorance. It will also erase this whole interaction of the choice to take either pill. You’ll wake up to another day as if this interaction never happened. It represents a choice of blissful ignorance. It represents putting you back to sleep.

What is the Matrix? According to the movie, The Matrix, the MATRIX is as follows:

“The Matrix is a computer-generated dream world,

built to keep us under control in order to change a human

being into a battery.”

Those are the original meanings of these three terms. But when I was asked, “Is the Virdoe Society Red Pill?”, that wasn’t what the person was referring to. He was referring to the Redpill in the context of Manhood. Or, should I say, the world of men

The World of Men: What Is the Manosphere?

Before we can define the meanings of red pill and blue pill in the context of men, we must define the term “Manosphere.” Why? Because when it comes to the world of men, Redpill lives in the world of the Manosphere.

When I went online to find the general consensus concerning the term “manosphere,” I was shocked to find nothing but negative opinions. Of course, I expected to find some women defining it as negative, but I soon found men describing it as negative also. Let me show you what I found:

1) Online Misogyny: The Manosphere and Incels

“Netflix’s new series Adolescence explores the online radicalization of a young man who murdered a female classmate. The story is fiction, but it sparked a very real conversation about online misogyny. A topic we’ve been investigating at ISD for years. We’ve published several explainers on the most popular cultures driving this disturbing trend. The first: The Manosphere.

The manosphere is a network of online communities built on misogyny. It includes men’s right activists, pick-up artists, and involuntary celibates, better known as incels. Their rhetoric ranges from anti-feminist talking points to explicit calls for violence against women. These groups may differ in language and focus, but they share one core belief: that women are inferior to men.

“Men’s right activists argue that feminism has gone too far and that men are the ones being oppressed. Pick-up artists reduce women to sex objects. They believe men are owed sex. And that women need to always be sexually available.

“Another one of our explainers focuses specifically on incels. Incels believe they’re unable to form sexual or romantic relationships. Often blaming themselves, women, or society as a whole for this. Incel ideology has inspired very real violence. These include mass shootings like the 2014 Isla Vista stabbing and shooting spree in California. On top of the real-world violence the community has been involved in, incels have been connected to targeted abuse, hate and harassment, and domestic violence.

“ISD has released a plethora of resources for understanding online subcultures like incels and the Manosphere. If you’re interested in learning more, you can visit our website at isdglobal.org.” –Female narrator

2) What Is the Manosphere?

Interviewer: How would you define the manosphere?

Male Speaker: Yeah, it’s funny because I’ve written just kind of extensively that I think it’s kind of a poor term. It’s become this sort of loose, generally unaffiliated network of influencers who tend to fall into one of three categories. The term that they often use is: looks, status, money.

You have the fitness side of it. Which I think, like, people like Bradley Martin. You have the kind of, like, the financial part of it, like…Andy Elliot. Or Alex Hormozi. They all do, like, arbitrage or drop shipping. And they sell courses, some sort of get-rich-quick scheme. And then there’s, like, the status element. Andrew Tate’s there. Rolexes and the thousands of dollars of cash on the table. He’s, like, smoking a cigar and does curls. And also on top of that, kind of a fourth element…is, like, one thing a lot of this runs through is… misogyny.

3) The Manosphere: Helping or Harming Men?

“Social media is no longer just a scroll. It’s shaping what it means to be a man, a woman, a human being. One of the clearest examples of this is the rise of the manosphere. The manosphere is a group of online spaces where men talk about masculinity. Some parts talk about real issues like loneliness and rejection. But many parts, they push hate. They blame women…

“According to UN Women, it’s a threat to global gender equality. But why is it growing? Because many young men are searching for identity, connection, and meaning. And the internet offers that comfort. But what starts as support quickly spirals. Algorithms reward anger over empathy, pushing extreme content, which fuels frustration, not healing. It feels like strength, but often it’s unspoken pain looking for a target.

“And why is it a problem? It makes the internet unsafe for women. It turns boys into bullies, not better men, and teaches them that being a man means being cold, cruel, and in control. And all of this, it kills the real conversation of what men really need. Healing, connection, and respect. So is the manosphere really helping me? Not really. It’s just giving their pain a target. Not a solution. Tell us in the comments: What does being a real man mean to you today?” –Male narrator

4) The Manosphere Is Breaking Men

“The manosphere is breaking men. But also radical feminism is breaking men. Simply put, the manosphere urges men to suppress their vulnerability and their sensitivity and their empathy towards others in order to appear more strong. On the flipside, radical feminism urges men to take their raw, dark, wild sexuality and bury it deep down inside them where no one can ever see it again. But the problem with this is that men without sensitivity and empathy quickly become fragile tyrants. And men who have no access to raw, darker natures quickly become soft doormats. But a man who has access to his vulnerability and his raw masculine nature? Now that’s a man to be reckoned with.” –Male narrator

5) UN Women

In an article titled “What Is the Manosphere and Why Should We Care,” the organization UN Women defines “Manosphere” as follows:

“The manosphere is an umbrella term for online communities that have increasingly promoted narrow and aggressive definitions of what it means to be a man-and the false narrative that feminism and gender equality have come at the cost of men’s rights. These communities promote the idea that emotional control, material wealth, physical appearance and dominance, especially over women are markers of male worth.

“While groups within the manosphere do not all share the same beliefs, many are united in their misogyny-a prejudice and resentment of women and girls. In many ways, the manosphere is descended from a long line of anti-feminist movements.” –Female writer

Misogyny?

As you can see, the response to the term “Manosphere” is very negative. As I continued my research, I kept encountering the term “Misogyny.” What is misogyny? Misogyny is defined as follows:

  1. Hatred of, aversion to, or prejudice against women. (Merriam-Webster)
  2. Feelings of hating women, or the belief that men are much better than women. (cambridge.org)

Is the Manosphere misogynistic? I don’t believe so. Are there some pockets of misogyny in the manosphere? It’s only natural for me to believe that there must be some out there. Why do I say that? Because there is extremism in everything. This is only natural. Honestly, when I see someone spewing misogynistic venom, I’m naturally going to change the channel or turn off the content. Why? Because it doesn’t align with me, and it does nothing for me. When I see someone spewing venom at women, all I see is pain and bitterness. The guy was obviously hurt, which creates bitterness and maybe a hatred of women, in which he begins to see them only as objects…sexual objects. He wants to hurt them because some woman hurt him. I’ve seen women online spew venom about men to women, and when I hear them speak, all I see is pain. They’ve been hurt by men. That woman spewing venom hasn’t healed yet either. This type of woman will not attract men or keep them for long. Why? Because that venom will permeate. A wise woman will also see this person’s pain and avoid her.

But I’m a natural MAN. I love women. Because I generally love women, I don’t want to destroy them; I want to understand them better. Don’t you? You should, and I’ll explain why soon. But bitterness can change a man or woman, making them useless to the opposite sex.
